Pacific Heights Dental Studio accepts nearly all PPO dental insurance plans; however, we operate as an out-of-network provider. This means that while we are not formally contracted with any specific insurance company, most PPO policies will still provide reimbursement for services rendered in our office. Many of our families find that their out-of-network benefits are comparable to in-network coverage, but it is always a good idea to review your plan or contact your insurance provider for exact details.

If there are any changes to your dental insurance coverage, we kindly ask that you inform our office at least one week prior to your scheduled appointment. Providing us with your updated insurance information in advance allows us to confirm benefits, prepare accurate estimates, and minimize any surprises on the day of your visit.

On the day of your appointment, you will receive a detailed, itemized treatment plan electronically before the scheduled appointment begins. This treatment plan will clearly outline the recommended and planned procedures—for example, examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, or any additional services that may be needed. Alongside this, the document will include an estimate of what your insurance is expected to cover, as well as any co-payments or out-of-pocket expenses that will be your responsibility.

Please note that all payments, including co-payments, are due at the time services are rendered. As a courtesy, Pacific Heights Dental Studio submits all insurance claims electronically on your behalf, ensuring that claims are processed as efficiently as possible. While insurance companies ultimately determine the final reimbursement amount, our office works diligently to help you maximize the benefits available under your plan.
